Today, the 3rd through 8th grade studentd took a trip to Dubuque to see St. Raphael Cathedral. It was the first church of any christian belief in Iowa. Archbishop Jackles shared his knowledge with us about the Cathedral, Father Dellaert surprised us, and we had a prayer service. It was a great way to spend a day together during Catholic Schools Week.
A big thank you to Archbishop Jackles and Father Dellaert for being with us today and sharing their knowledge with us.

K-2 students enjoyed a morning focusing on vocations for Catholic Schools Week. Along with squeezing a music class into our morning, we also had a visit with Sister Vicky about her vocation, toured the church, and made thank you cards for some special people in our community that said “yes” to God when they became priests and Catholic sisters.
Today is Celebrate Our Nations Day for Catholic Schools Week. This morning, the American Legion came to our school to talk to us about our flag. This included the folding of the flag, raising of the flag, the Star Spangled Banner, and Taps. A big thank you to the American Legion.
